Day 31/365

During my sewing day I did a couple of small projects that have been on my plate for years!
I know it is small, but it will make a big impact.
These towels needed some kind of marking to indicate which room they belong in.
The small loops do just this.
Now I can put them where they go and take the current towels to Goodwill.
A shelf in my studio is now empty and my bathroom gets new towels.
I also mended the handle on a favorite purse which I will be glad to use again.
Sorry, no picture.  That would be way too boring.

Day 28/365

Now that the hat and mitten project is finished,
I've picked up an older project to work on in the evenings.
I didn't realize that the photo is almost the same as the last time I shared this,
but I do have a few more rows done now.

Day 26/365

The time has come.
The village must come down.
It's sad.  I know.

Day 24/365

At the annual Home Show, an entire house is constructed inside the exhibition hall.
One must wait in a sea of people to get inside to tour the home.
It is usually worth the wait.
This year was no exception.

Day 17/365

Today the hawk was in my front yard.
I suspect he was looking for dinner.

Day 15/365

It's time to change the dishes from the reds and greens
to the wintery blues and whites.

Day 10/365

I couldn't decide today.
Shall I post the beautiful pink sky beyond the snow covered field?
Or the glowing orange horizon?
I give up.
I'll post them both.

Day 9/365

This was a reunion of sorts.
For some it had been almost 40 years.
It's just too bad that it took the loss of one to bring them all together.

Day 7/365

How many times does it take to cut the fabric for the current project
so the alphabet is up straight, not sideways?
Three.  It takes exactly three.

Day 6/365

We got our first "big" snow of the season.
I love how the snow sticks to the tree limbs.

Day 5/365

It seems another month has flown by.
How can you possibly be seven months old and look so big?
Wasn't it just last week you were barely filling the seat with your whole body?
I guess not.

Day 3/365

Two of my favorite magazines have new issues out today.
I don't know what it is, but the British magazines are so lovely!
The only drawback is that we are always a month behind.

Day 2/365

This is just a small portion of the lighted display at our local John Deere dealership.
The display takes up about a quarter of a mile.
The line of cars waiting to drive by is very long and sometimes blocks traffic before Christmas.
We only encountered a few cars tonight.
I know there is no reference for how tall these are, but trust me, they are very tall.

There are a few more photos over at More Curiously.

Day 1/365

Let's start the year off with a shot of my house.
It occurred to me after I loaded my pictures that it might appear to be a walking surface.
It is not.  It is the view looking up the side of the house.
It is very close to the spider web spot.
