Day 59/365

Our local quilt guild had a book fair fundraiser at the local bookstore.
There were quilt displays throughout the store and demonstrations all day.
I've seen lots of pictures of "Swoon" quilts
but have never seen on one in person before.
I know I am way behind the times, but I may still have to make one.
The pattern can be found here

Day 58/365

We were downtown again for the symphony tonight.
The IPL (Indianapolis Power & Light) building, next to the theater, changes its lights depending on the season, events or other important happenings.
Tonight's "P" is for the Pacers (our NBA team) who played a home game tonight.
Earlier this month the building was sporting a heart for American Heart Month.
You can see a photo here.

Day 55/365

A friend in my quilt group was lucky enough to find this sweet quilt for sale.
The rest of the quilt is more of the same.

Day 54/365

One.  Two.  Three.
Three quilts ready for bindings to be hand stitched.
On your mark. Get set. Go.

Day 53/365

I don't go to the movies too much but I do love to watch the Oscars each year.
I almost always stay up until the end.
I don't feel too guilty about it though.
I used the time to start knitting a new hat.

Day 51/365

This is the view from the door of one of my favorite places, the book store.
We spent a little time there tonight just to get out before the next snow keeps us in.

Day 49/365

It was quite chilly this morning
so GB#3 was wearing his hat when he arrived at the house.
When I removed it, it was clear that he had a serious issue with "hat head."
He didn't seem to mind.
Yes, it is a picture of the shopping carts at the grocery.
I really like the little ones.  They are so much easier to maneuver around the store.

Day 47/365

This is an inherited project.
I'm not sure what to make with it yet.
I am thinking it will be something small that does not require making more.

Day 46/365

I am enjoying the slow knitting of this scarf.
I have changed needles to make the work smoother.
I have decided not to worry about speed of completion but rather to enjoy the process.

Day 44/365

This quilt began its life as a patchwork skirt made by a member of my quilt group.
She offered it to the group as she was not wearing it anymore.
I took it and made it into a quilt top.
It has been on my "tops that need quilting" list for a long time.
Now it serves as a practice piece while I work on my longarm techniques.

Day 43/365

My fabric for the new apron has been selected, washed, dried and pressed.
Next up, drafting the pattern.

Day 42/365

Running errands with Grandma can wear a little one out.

And just in case anyone is wondering-
No, I was not driving.  I was sitting in a parking lot.

Day 41/365

Do you remember when I made a ceramic tree with my quilting friends?
My friend Cathy didn't stop at just one.  She has made several.
This is just a few of them.
Aren't they lovely?

Day 40/365

This wonderful book finally arrived today.
I have been patiently waiting for it (well, maybe not so patiently).
From what I have learned online, the title is Aprons and Apron Dresses.
It is entirely in Japanese but there are plenty of pictures and drawings.
I can't wait to get started.

Day 38/365

I think it's time for another "What is it?" picture.
So, what's your guess?
What is it?

Day 36/365

GB#3 is eight months old.
Luckily, he was in a great mood today for the photo shoot.
If you zoom in on the photo, you can see his first two teeth.

Day 35/365

GB#4 is five months old.
It was a pleasure to see this smiley girl today.

Day 34/365

I am loving the blue skies we've had the last couple days.
It almost makes me forget how cold it is.
The horse?
It is outside the restaurant where I met a friend for a long overdue dinner.

Day 33/365

Here's a little look down my street on a sunny, snow-covered winter afternoon.

Day 32/365

I'm still working on finishing up some older projects.
Three of these four have been done for some time.
Now that the fourth is done, they can be presented to their recipients.
