Day 365 of 2016

Yesterday's fabric became five skirts today for Little E and GB#1.
These circle skirts are for GB#1.
She picked out the fabrics from my stash.
She picked out the trim and elastic colors at the store.
She made some great choices.
The black and gray ones made for Little E (too boring, according to GB#1)
 were not photographed.

Day 363 of 2016

I made eight dress up aprons for Christmas,
two each of four different characters.
Six were done on time.
The other two were finished today.
Can you guess which ones took so long?
Yes, the two Belle aprons, with the extra fluffy layer, took longer than expected.

The free tutorial can be found at It's Always Autumn.

Day 362 of 2016

The quilting meeting was at my house tonight.
The night ended with dessert and the coloring of the table runner.
Oh, what fun!

Day 361 of 2016

Here is a different view of our Christmas village.
I am very much enjoying it in its new location.
We seem to be spending a lot of time in this room this month
so I get to see the village daily for an extended time.

Day 355 of 2016

Yes, Scott, you have the correct answer to yesterday's question.
I was at the airport and that is GB#1 back in town for the holidays.
Today she found M's old Polly Pockets.
They are always good for hours of fun.

M came home today and helped me decorate the living room tree.
Check that off my list.
This is a favorite new ornament this year.

Day 350 of 2016

I almost forgot to put out the newest addition to my little village.
This one is a gift from Big D and R
which they brought back from their visit to Germany last summer.

Day 349 of 2016

I have made another pincushion.
This time it is for quite the animal lover.
I believe process of selecting the fabrics actually took longer
than it did for me to make the gift.
I think it was worth it though because I think I nailed it.

Day 346 of 2016

The giant flag before the game always amazes me.
It's just a shame that the home team did not win today.

Day 342 of 2016

Santas are done.
I changed my approach a little this year.
It seemed to go more smoothly and quickly.
I did just notice though that Charlie Brown and a few other Colorforms
are making an appearance in this photo.
Oh well, must keep the curious little ones happy.

Day 340 of 2016

Creative gift wrapping.
I'm pretty sure I saw the basic idea on Pinterest.
Choose a shape and cut out a pattern.
Using your pattern cut two out of brown paper for each gift to be wrapped.
Stitch two of the brown paper pieces together
leaving an opening big enough for your gift.
Insert gift and finish stitching until closed.
Embellish with markers in your favorite designs.
Tear to open.

Day 339 of 2016

Every month I change my desktop picture to the beautiful artwork of Geninne
in the form of a calendar provided on her blog.
I have loved every one of them.
This month is no exception.

that looks suspiciously like writing.

Day 336 of 2016

The boxes are down from the attic.
Decorating will begin in earnest tomorrow.
These boxes contain the houses for my Christmas village.
You can see some pictures of it in previous years
here, here, here, here, and here.
