I drove by today to see if there was a sign with the opening date on it.

Instead, I found the shop was open!

Reflections.

If you look closely you can see a reflection of me

in which there is a reflection of the clouds and the car

The quilt that hangs in the hall took a trip outside for a photo shoot.

This is a friendship exchange quilt. 

 Two friends and I each made 3 each of 24 blocks and then exchanged

so each of us ended up with 72 different blocks.

This is my quilt made from those blocks.

This is a small antique quilt I purchased.

I can't really remember where I got it but I'm sure I got a good price on it.

I love the color and pattern though.  It may be worth reproducing with current fabrics.

Today was a fabric dyeing day.  These are the fabric dyeing vats.

I came.  I saw.  I did not dye fabric.

Those who did made some beautiful pieces.

Here is my version of a train picture.

This is known here as the "Fair Train." It only runs for a couple weeks each year.

It runs an 11 mile route transporting people to and from the State Fair.

Maybe we'll ride it this year.
