Day 209 of 2022

I decided that I didn't want to leave the Swoon quilt 90% done

 and start working on the longarm. 

With only the borders left, it seemed like an easy task. 

That would have been the case if my regular machine 

weren't having tension issues. 

I tried everything I know to try to fix it 

but after ripping out a couple seams, 

I decided to pack that machine away for a trip to the repair shop

 and go a different route. 

Out came Little Lady, my featherweight machine. 

She did a fabulous job and the borders are done. 

If there is no rain tomorrow, 

I'll get a picture of the top out on the shed.

 

Day 169 of 2019

My class today was so jam packed with information and activity

 that I forgot to take any pictures. 

My Little Lady loved the special care she got, 

and I found that one of her parts was bent and not working properly. 

Equipped with a new bobbin case tension spring and tension dial recalibration, 

Little Lady is stitching a fine stitch.

I'm all packed for an all day class tomorrow. 

I just have to remember my lunch.

I set up Little Lady and gave myself a sewing day.

Day 224/365

I took my main sewing machine in for routine maintenance. 

I need it in tip-top shape for a retreat in September. 

For the next few weeks Little Lady and I will be spending some quality time together.

Day 168/365

Ever since I bought Little Lady, she has needed a new felt pad in the drip pan. 

Today she finally got it along with a cleaning and oiling. 

She sounds so smooth and happy.

Her patience paid off. 

"Little Lady" finally got a well deserved sewing day. 

And yes, Lucy, she is a beauty.

Little Lady and I worked on my bucket of 36-patch blocks today.

Two were completed.  Many more await completion.

But the hard part, cutting and pairing fabrics, is done.
