Day 124 of 2026

Today's photo is a screen shot of the wallpaper on my phone. 

I've been trying to change it each day to reflect my activity 

or people I might be seeing that day. 

Yesterday GB#5 wanted a picture of us on my phone. 

We selected this one from last year's 50th Anniversary weekend 

that I don't think I shared here. 

To top it off, I caught the 11:11 this morning.

We got to see GB#2 perform with her show choir today 

to start off the spring competition season. 

 

Day 8 of 2026

While I ordered my advent box this year, 

I took the empty box from last year 

and surprised Fireball by filling it with goodies for him.

 He really enjoyed opening our boxes together each night.

 

Day 365 of 2025

Fireball is sporting quite the hat head

 thanks to the winter cold, a sock cap 

and all the static electricity created by taking that hat off.

 

Day 244 of 2025

I had Fireball pose as my stand-in model 

as I tested camera settings and camera position 

before asking him to take pictures of me in my new sweater. 

It worked well but I did notice that our height difference 

made a difference in the final pictures. 

 

Day 232 of 2025

We packed a lot into the day, 

but Fireball is in his favorite spot at the end of the day. 

The view is of Portage Bay, Seattle, Washington.

Day 231 of 2025

Fireball and I are off on another adventure and, as is customary, 

I've taken a photo of Fireball in the shelter 

where we wait for the shuttle 

near where we parked our car.

It's our last day at Comic-Con and we had to get our photo by the wall. 

We've had a blast.

Day 205 of 2025

Yesterday we landed in San Diego 

and today we joined the crowd of thousands to attend 

Comic-Con International on its first day. 

We were lucky enough to get admission

 to all four days of the convention. 

We heard from a multi-year veteran vendor couple 

that the odds are very low of that happening.

The wait is over for the fireworks to begin.

We visited The Lume exhibit 

Connection: Land, Water, Sky at Newfields today. 

It was amazing. 

Here Fireball is moving the art with just the motion of his hand

 in this interactive part of the exhibit.

Fireball. 

I had taken some pictures of a Cooper's Hawk in our backyard

 which was fascinating to watch, but they all turned out poorly. 

So Fireball it is, making his way through John Green

 a couple chapters at a time.

One little adventure this week 

involved a morning date 

to a new-to-us coffee house 

from Fireball's Indianapolis Café Passport. 

Our drinks and breakfast were excellent.
