Day 61 of 2023

I attended the Indiana Heritage Quilt Show today
and was impressed with lots of the quilts this year.
I am always especially interested
in seeing the quilting designs that have been used,
and I thought this one was exceptionally good.
Below is the card that was attached to the quilt
 for quilt and maker information.

Day 52 of 2023

I finally got the rug placed back in the guest bath today
along with a couple other small tasks.
It seems that last 2% of the job is so hard to get done.
I feel ready to move on but know
I really can't until this one is completely finished.
There are just a couple more things now,
but I have to wait for caulk to cure.

Day 6 of 2022

Here is a detail of January from my new 2022 wall calendar.
It is by one of my favorite artists, Geninne Zlatkis
I usually have at least three wall calendars
so I can have one in each of my sewing spaces also,
but so far I only have one.

Day 269 of 2020

I am using my pattern matching skill on this quilt border.
Do you see it?

Day 263 of 2019

Pattern drafting is messy work.
It also takes lots of thought.
I put extra time in making sure every detail is not overlooked
because everything must work out on the first try.

Day 113 of 2019

It's Tuesday, quilting night.
It is fun to see how others decorate.
The spring mantel was beautiful.

Day 132 of 2017

M and I visited the Decorator's Showhouse.
This year's house is the childhood home of Kurt Vonnegut.
Although pictures were not allowed inside,
I loved the designs in the brickwork near the front door,
so I got a picture of that before putting my camera away.
Quilts, anyone?

Day 21 of 2017

Fireball and I went to the Home Show today at the fairgrounds.
This patio floor was one of my favorite things.
I'm sure this comes as no surprise.

Day 49 of 2016

I have given tiny fingers to Kell's tiny hand.
(Note:  His hand is just a little more than 1/2" wide.)
