Sometimes it's hard to tell the front from the back

 of a handmade item of clothing. 

I try to remember to put tags in the back to make dressing easier,

 especially on things for the little ones. 

I personalized this one.

I have started the sewing for Little E, but with the extra fabric, 

I am also making another shirt for GB#1. 

It will be from the same pattern

 as the pink one I gave to her last month which she loves.

The rain held off long enough

 for Easter egg hunting in the front yard.

At Bermuda Botanical Gardens 

GB#1 wanted us to see her favorite thing, "the big tree." 

It turns out to actually be many trees all together, 

but it is really big. 

Can you see her in the picture? 

She loves climbing all over it.

Day 97 of 2023

 

Today is Good Friday and here in Bermuda

 it is it is customary to fly kites on the beach. 

The wind and weather were perfect for kite flying. 

While some of us were flying kites, 

GB#1 decided to get in the not-so-warm water. 

Fireball had not intended to get quite so wet but ultimately did. 

Good times were had by all.

Yes, we are here in Bermuda visiting Little E, L and GB#1. 

Here she wears one of the four shirts I posted here 

and is carrying a Fennel Fanny Pack that I also made. 

She loves them both.

 is additional days with Little E and GB#1.

We got to spend time with each of our GBs

 tonight for Halloween.

It was a happy mail day. 

I got the sweetest letter from GB#1

 which included some origami that she thought I'd like. 

It's a raincoat.

GB#1 and Bear are off on their next adventure. 

It's very quiet at our house.

We made ice skating wishes come true today. 

GB#1 and  GB#3 took to it very well 

and it all came back to R after a little "ice" time.

Here is evidence that GB#1 is staying with us. 

She is loving the page-a-day Tangram calendar from 2009 that I never finished. 

Each day I give her another week's worth of puzzles to solve. 

She keeps getting faster at the problem solving. 

GB#1 is also fascinated with our glitter bottles - hours of fun.

We got new shirts for the little ones. 

We will not be all together this Christmas, so gifting happened early.

As things start to calm down, 

Fireball, Little E, GB#1 and I found time to play a new-to-me game 

that Little E and GB#1 recommended. 

It was tons of fun and I can't wait to play again soon.

Because GB#1 was very insistent, 

Fireball, GB#3 and I watched The Mitchells vs. the Machines tonight. 

We all enjoyed it very much.
