Fireball and I spent the afternoon cleaning in the garage. 

We came across a selection of greeting cards from our kids

 among other people. 

We laughed so hard. 

No wonder we can't seem to get rid of these treasures. 

Also, have you ever noticed that children up to a certain age 

feel the need to sign cards to their parents

 with their first and last names?

To end our Big adventure

we visited the cemetery and put flowers and heart shaped rocks 

on the headstones of our family members. 

Mary was my great grandmother.

We were eight family members split into two teams.

Here my DIL, R, is about to cement our team victory

Happy Father's Day to Fireball.

Today we attended an art fair to round out the weekend.

We both agree it was a great weekend. 

Happy Father's Day also to our sons and son-in-law 

who have become wonderful fathers for their own families.

Family outing. 

Nine of us went to a ball game. 

Despite the heat, we all had a good time. 

And the home team won.

Today we took a road trip to celebrate and remember Fireball's parents 

whose birthdays and wedding anniversary all fall within a month's span. 

One stop found us at a small zoo. 

GB#2, GB#3, GB#4 and GB#5 all found themselves in an eagle's nest.

We had a family gathering. 

There was lots of fun and laughter. 

GB#5 was a lion and later, a monkey.

I spied some snapdragons out in the wild. 

(Not really wild, but away from our house)

They are always a family favorite.

On the day that you see the retina specialist and a treatment is required, 

the only thing that can be done is to take a nap

 because it seems impossible to keep your eye open

 due to the pain and the light. 

There was no driving today so after above mentioned nap, 

I decided to sort through the photos on my magnetic board. 

More recent pictures have been selected 

and will be ordered soon to finish up the transformation.

 

Day 2 of 2023

After a family group message discussion on favorite cookies, 

I felt compelled to make a late night batch of cookies. 

Peanut butter cookies seemed the fastest 

and one for which I always have all the ingredients. 

They were delicious.

Today has been more games and more pie. 

The pies have been a big hit. 

Well, so have the games.

We had our family Christmas exchange today. 

Other activities included food, games, a puzzle and more food.
