Day 273 of 2023

I am inspired today.
With birthday certificates to use before the end of the month,
we visited several stores today
and enjoyed looking at all the seasonal displays.
I am always inspired by cute little houses and villages.

Day 363 of 2019

This Christmas included abbreviated versions of my normal decorating.
In the case of my village, I put up the houses and their lights
but gave the responsibility of placing the accessories
such as people, animals, trees and more
to GB#1 who was the first little one to arrive at the house
a few days before we had our celebration.
Observing, that some of the trees had wire trunks,
she asked me if she could bend them to look like the wind was blowing them.
Of course, I said yes.
I saw them again today and it cracked me up.

Day 350 of 2019

Now that the pieces are all unboxed,
let's put them where they belong and accessorize.

Day 330 of 2018

While there are lots of things on my to-do list,
I only had one real goal for today.
Success.

Day 75 of 2018

Week six houses.
I've made a few St. Patrick's Day blocks.
I am lacking fabrics that have shamrocks on them
so I rounded out the eight with some (mostly) green ones.

Day 187 of 2016

Lately I have been inspired to make these house blocks.
I totally blame Thelma of Cupcakes 'N' Daisies
Go check out her adorable houses.
Like Thelma, I am using the pattern "Village" by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.
Mine will be made using scraps from my most recent projects,
working my way back into my very old scraps.
