Today we took a road trip to celebrate and remember Fireball's parents 

whose birthdays and wedding anniversary all fall within a month's span. 

One stop found us at a small zoo. 

GB#2, GB#3, GB#4 and GB#5 all found themselves in an eagle's nest.

Tonight was the girls' first time to see the Winterlights. 

It was a fun thing to do on New Year's Eve.

GB#2 and GB#4 took part in a  play 

written, produced and performed by GBs #2, #3 and #4 

for all the adults at the house today.

We celebrated a belated birthday for GB#5 with donuts.

T-bone took GB#2 and GB#4 to see the Barbie movie today. 

I think they liked it.

Children's imaginations are wondrous. 

They are always thinking up, choreographing, 

and rehearsing shows they will perform for us. 

 

Day 211 of 2023

We had some great help today from a couple of garden enthusiasts. 

They helped with removing sod for a new garden bed, 

placing that sod in a different area of the yard that needed it, 

watering new plantings, 

deciding best placement for a new plant, 

and keeping us all hydrated with ice and water. 

We couldn't have done it without them.

It was a great day for a gathering. 

We cooked out and had our first fire in the new fire pit

 that we completed last fall right before our first snow.
