Day 131 of 2026

The annual Decorators' Show House visit for us was today.
Although beautiful and beautifully done,
this was not one of my favorites over the years.
I didn't find many practical ideas to bring home
and there were no landscape or garden areas designed or displayed.
I did find that I was inspired by the colors of some of the artwork
and this was one of my favorite design elements in the house.

Day 125 of 2024

Today R and I went to visit the finished Decorators' Show House.
This dining room was giving me the best simple, elegant, fall vibes.

Day 20 of 2023

Dream Closet.
R and I visited the Before Tour of this year's Decorator's Show House.
This one room I hope they don't change.

Day 126 of 2022

Today was our annual visit to the Decorators' Show House.
I mostly go for ideas I can use in my own home.
This year was a good one.
I thought the color palette was fresh and completely relatable.
It was too hard to pick a favorite idea so instead
I will leave you with this thought for the day
that adorned the wall next to a secret garden terrace.

Day 118 of 2019

Going to the Decorators' Show House
is one of the things I look forward to most each year.
This was part of my favorite room this year.
Most of the rooms felt very modern but this one felt homey and warm.
I am obsessed with the wallpaper and the row of hats.
I'm not sure there is a place in my house to use this idea,
but you can be sure I will be pondering this for a while.
