Day 173 of 2026

We're headed home and decided not to take the interstate 

with all the slowdowns due to summer road construction. 

We're taking the state and county roads

 that have similar travel times. 

This way we can enjoy the expansive fields, farms and sky.

 

Day 172 of 2026

We're on an adventure today and got to meet up 

with someone we haven't seen for years. 

We accidentally both wore our super hero sweatshirts. 

I had to document it.

 

Day 79 of 2026

We're off. 

First stop is a layover in Phoenix.

One Big Adventure tonight was a Pacers game. 

It was fun even if they didn't win.

It's just a short car ride from here and we'll be home. 

It's always good to be home.

It's our last day at Comic-Con and we had to get our photo by the wall. 

We've had a blast.

Part of Comic-Con is panels. 

The panel could have celebrities, actors from tv or movies, 

authors and other such things. 

Today we sat in on a panel all about the making of a book 

celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip. 

The panel consisted of everyone associated with the process 

of getting this book made. 

It was a great panel and the book looks amazing. 

I can't wait for the book to come out in October.

Lots of people were dressed up like lots of different things or characters, 

but this is probably my favorite. 

Day 205 of 2025

Yesterday we landed in San Diego 

and today we joined the crowd of thousands to attend 

Comic-Con International on its first day. 

We were lucky enough to get admission

 to all four days of the convention. 

We heard from a multi-year veteran vendor couple 

that the odds are very low of that happening.

I am off on One Big Adventure with Fireball and Little E. 

I know this picture doesn't give you any clues as to where I am, 

but we did all have to fly here 

and our main purpose for being here starts tomorrow.

We visited The Lume exhibit 

Connection: Land, Water, Sky at Newfields today. 

It was amazing. 

Here Fireball is moving the art with just the motion of his hand

 in this interactive part of the exhibit.

To end our Big adventure

we visited the cemetery and put flowers and heart shaped rocks 

on the headstones of our family members. 

Mary was my great grandmother.

Another day, another breakfast date with Fireball, 

this time between appointments.

Harvest Nights at Newfields is fabulous. 

It would be so hard to describe so I'll just say 

that there are so many pumpkins and surprises throughout. 

I'll leave you here with carved pumpkins

 hanging in trees with firefly lights.

it's definitely worth the visit.
