Day 252 of 2026

I can't really call this done yet as you can see
I still have ends to weave in,
but I did get the fancy bind off done today.

Day 244 of 2026

I just finished the second row
of my two row repeat of this blanket
 only to realize
that there is not enough yarn for the next row,
let alone another repeat.
I am not too broken up about it though.
It means I get to start the next color sooner.

Day 212 of 2026

I've started color number 5.
(Photo taken 7-30-2026)
Computer issues prevented me from accessing my blog yesterday.
Issues have been resolved.
I'll begin posting One Big Adventure pictures tomorrow.

Day 54 of 2026

It was a happy mail day.
M sent me a new sticker for my water bottle.
The sentiment is so accurate.

Day 42 of 2026

The book I folded for Fireball a few years back has flattened out a bit,
but it's back on the mantel for at least February.

Day 8 of 2026

While I ordered my advent box this year,
I took the empty box from last year
and surprised Fireball by filling it with goodies for him.
He really enjoyed opening our boxes together each night.

Day 3 of 2026

I did the Stitch Supply Co advent box again this year.
This is the first opportunity I've had to share what was in it.
This is the entire haul with the exception of the pillow case fabric
which has already made it to my studio.
It was fun again with some perennial favorites
and lots of new, exciting items.

This cute little Santa suit ornament was one of the gifts I received
at my quilt group Christmas party today.

Day 286 of 2025

GB#5 recently became a five-year-old.

I presented her with the new mittens I made.
She was very happy with them.

Day 280 of 2025

For my birthday Big D and R gave me an experience.
Today R, GB#3 and I went to an art glass studio and took a class.
What a fun time we all had.
We each made a glass item.
I can't wait to show you mine once it is able to come home.

Day 273 of 2025

My socks are on pause while I work on this project.
I am working a Doodle Knit chart here.
I am using a metal board behind the paper
and magnetic strips on top to isolate the row I am working on.
These boards a commonly used for cross stitch.

Day 217 of 2025

When we were in San Diego Little E gifted me with a beautiful shawl she knit.
I plan to take it with me on an upcoming trip
so I thought I would give it a nice wool wash soak and blocking.
Even in cool water it was bleeding color.
I believe it was coming from the contrast color trim yarn.
I rinsed it five or six times and it finally stopped.
It now lies on a beach towel on a bathroom floor
along with a cute cropped sweater
that Little E made for me a couple years ago
that I also plan to take with me.
I hope they are both dry in time.

Note: All previous Big Adventure posts (Days 204-209)
have been updated with photos.

Day 188 of 2025

This is something I made a long time ago.
It has come back into my possession and attention recently.
I'll give you more information and my thoughts on it soon.

Day 61 of 2025

I got Fireball an advent calendar for Christmas last year.
We are just now figuring out the proper order for display.

Day 49 of 2025

After I made the Valentine coasters for Fireball,
I planned to give him a few Jack-o-Lantern coasters for Halloween.
I did a very nice fabric pull and got the first face completed
but the finished coaster never happened and the other faces didn't either.
Today the one and only coaster made it to the finish line
and sits on our coffee table.
