Happy Halloween!

Selvage scraps are waiting to be made into new treasures 

at the Tuesday night quilt meeting.

Day 303 of 366

While cleaning out another room, more treasures have been found.

First is a gift from Little E when she was in 4th grade.

It is a small sachet with a note (probably an assigned Haiku) that says,

"My Mom is lovely.

She sews quilts when she has time.

I really love her."

This gift sits upon the piece that was my first attempt at hand quilting.

Both are treasures indeed.

This blanket is for GB#2, due in a few weeks.

It has been done for a while, but I wanted it to be a surprise 

so there have been no sneak peeks.

It is made with the same yarn as the blanket for GB#1 and is super soft.

Mom- and Dad-to-be love it.

I'm cleaning out the sewing room.

This is one of my favorite, and by far one of the most beautiful, items 

in my sewing room.

I believe it is meant to hold needles, 

but it is big enough to also hold a thimble or two.

GB (grandbaby) #1 is two months old today.

I can't believe I caught her with a smile.
