Sometimes when walking around the show in Paducah 

one happens upon quilting celebrities.

Every year at this same time the businesses of Paducah, Kentucky 

display quilts, mostly antiques, in their windows and shops

 for all the visitors to enjoy. 

This is one of my favorites that I saw today, 

right there among the tents and camping gear.

Spirea in my yard is beginning to leaf out. 

Soon the leaves will turn green and it will bloom tiny pink flower clusters.

In trying to get a good shot of the Goldfinch now that he is bright yellow again, 

I got this one of the male House Sparrow instead. 

He and his buddies (family) are always around, 

but since he is so common he doesn't get much attention.

Half were blueberry.  Half were chocolate chip.
