Day 120/365

Today was the last day for my daily buddy (GB#3).
Bittersweet.

Day 119/365

Today I cut some fabric for a new little quilt.
I cut it wrong.
I believe I can still make it work,
but I will have to select a different method for making my flying geese.

Day 118/365

I love it when M plays the piano.  I think GB#3 feels the same way.

Day 116/365

It's good to be home.
I got to see all the grandbabies (and their parents) today.
This is GB#4.

Day 115/365

I've had a great week in Paducah, but now I am packed and ready to go home.

Day 114/365

As we walked to dinner our last night in Paducah,
I stopped to take a picture of my reflection in a shop window.

Day 113/365

Day 3 in Paducah.
This bike was parked outside a music store downtown.
I thought of Lucy.

Dat 112/365

Day two in Paducah.
We saw the most lovely display of antique hexagon quilts.

Day 111/365

My friend Julie and I are in Paducah, Kentucky for AQS Quilt Week.
This is one of the few places we stopped today.
There are wonderful exhibits inside right now including one with antique 9-patch quilts.
I may have to try to reproduce a couple of them.

Day 110/365

The car got a nice wash in preparation for a road trip.
More on the road trip tomorrow.

Day 108/365

This shot is from a moving car.
Sorry for the blur,
but who wouldn't want to buy the house with the beautiful magnolia tree in the front yard?

Day 106/365

There is new life outside my window on this very gray spring day.

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Day 105/365

The little one (GB#3) and I took a trip to the quilt store.
These little lovelies followed us home.

Day 104/365

This is me un-basting a quilt.
It has been a UFO for a very long time.
I never could figure out how to quilt it so it never got quilted.
It is next up on the big machine so maybe I'll just practice different things on it.
I'll be sure to let you know what I decide.

Day 102/365

I've been building again.
This time it is a little organization for the bathroom.
We finally got a day with no rain and no other plans, so I painted.

Day 101/365

GB#1 loves to carry her koala with her
so I finished a bear carrier I started for her a while ago.
Oh, and I just had to show you the back.

Day 100/365

After a rough start with thread issues,
the quilting is finally going well on this little quilt.

Day 99/365

Vintage patterns.
Don't you just love their little umbrellas?
The Easter dress reveal is posted on More Curiously now.

Day 98/365

This little guy (GB#3) is 10 months old.
I love the way he greets me each morning with a big smile.
I love that he gets so excited about simple things like rocking the chair.

Day 97/365

The new daffodils are down but not out after our recent rain.

Day 93/365

The Silly One (GB#1) came to visit today.
"I am hugging my face with my feet!"

Day 92/365

It was an odd day with GB#3 so not much sewing happened here today.
Here is a peek at how far I have gotten on the second dress.
(Big sister needs a dress too!)
It has the same pink gingham but a different floral.
