Day 301/365

Our ginkgo tree has given us beautiful fall color this year,
but after two days of rain and a windy day forecast for tomorrow
I'm afraid it won't be long before it is all gone.

Day 300/365

Fireball had a birthday.
He turned sixty-Darth?
Or dare I say Happy Darth-day?
Long story.  It's a family thing.

Day 298/365

When the game doesn't go well,
the stands empty out pretty quickly.

Day 296/365

I finished quilting and binding Little E's quilt.
She will be giving it to its new owner tomorrow.
I hope she likes it.
And because there is no better way to present a quilt to someone,
I made a coordinating pillow case to serve as a gift bag.

Day 293/365

Little E has made a quilt top.  It is twice as big as it appears here.
My job is to quilt it and bind it in the next two days.
I am up for the challenge.

Oh, you can?  Well, let me get closer so I can see you too.

Day 289/365

It was my intention to post a beautiful picture of downtown tonight
as I never grow tired of those pictures,
but after our concert was over, we exited to the lobby to see this.
Everyone hung around to see what happened next.
He asked her.
She said yes.
A hug.
Pictures were taken.
Although these are pretty fast, blurry cell phone pictures,
they are certainly more exciting than my downtown building pictures would have been.

Day 288/365

As M reads articles and surveys to me from the latest HGTV Magazine,
I find myself doodling on a paper towel.

Day 287/365

Halloween costume making is going on.
I'm just trying to stay ahead of the game.

Day 283/365

M and a friend are going to an event this evening dressed as their favorite literary characters.
M, on the right, is Nancy Drew and her friend is Ron Weasley.
Her sweater has the giant "R" on it.
Unfortunately, you can't see it in this shot.

Day 281/365

We tried a new recipe tonight.
Chicken Rice Soup.
Pretty simple.  Pretty darn tasty.

Day 280/365

This "stinker" decided to hang out on my car while I did the grocery shopping.
I imagine he is admiring how big and ferocious he thinks he looks
- based on the size of his shadow.

My Tula Pink Coloring Book arrived today.
I could not open it fast enough.

Day 277/365

This is where I spent my afternoon.
Thank you, Fireball, for inviting me to come along.
Yes, the home team won.

Day 275/365

M and I went to the museum today to see this new art installation.
Those are all books creating a false ceiling in the entrance lobby.
When the exhibit is over the books will be donated to an organization whose mission is to promote and improve the literacy of adults and families in our area.

Day 274/365

This little guy wasted no time getting to the small buffet I left
when the seed spilled over
while I was filling the bird feeders.
