Day 121 of 2016

Cathy!
I finally saw the exhibit.
I am so glad my favorite gown is part of the display.

Day 120 of 2016

Moving is hard...on parents, siblings and...well, everyone.
I wish you the best of everything in your new home and on your new adventure.
Don't stay away too long.
I guess it's time to renew my passport.

Day 119 of 2016

Bloggy friend Raewyn and I did our own shop hop today
ending on Mass Ave. for dinner and ice cream.
Technically, this is the picture of the day since I didn't take the first one myself.
Tomorrow's agenda includes quilts at a local museum.

Day 118 of 2016

I am checking the arrivals board.
Yep.  The flight I am looking for has arrived.

Day 116 of 2016

M has developed a liking for making homemade popsicles.
These were made especially for me.
They are strawberry and banana and are part of my evening routine.

Day 115 of 2016

We had a fun day with GB#1.
I sure am going to miss this little one.

Day 114 of 2016

GB#4 helps M play the piano.
The stool was entirely her idea.

Day 113 of 2016

Party prep is going on here.
I am trying a different, new-to-me method of peeling eggs.

Day 111 of 2016

I am having some issues with thread breakage on my longarm machine.
Hopefully one of these recently ordered items
will solve my problem
and I can get back to quilting.

Day 110 of 2016

I am such a lucky girl!
Tonight I became the recipient of these wonderful antique churndash blocks.
I counted 78!  Thanks, Beth.

Day 109 of 2016

Good morning, violets!
I know you are really weeds but your flowers are so pretty each spring,
I have a hard time pulling you out.

Day 106 of 2016

New furniture comes in boxes.
How many hours of fun can be had from this?
I don't know, but they are on day two.
I suspect they will keep having fun until the boxes totally break.

Day 105 of 2016

Today was build IKEA furniture day.
I'm not quite done, but I am organized.
I will build more tomorrow.

Day 103 of 2016

I am a quilter.
I (almost) always prewash my fabric.
Before throwing it in the washer I cut the corners off
to reduce the amount of raveling and tangling.
Sometimes I end up with a pretty little pile of triangles.
Are you a quilter?
Do you prewash your fabrics?

Day 101 of 2016

The Children's Museum is clearly a fascinating place.
GB#3 was fascinated with the "pirate" that was talking.
GB#1 was fascinated with the "boat" they were sitting in.

Day 100 of 2016

I know I have already posted pictures of the Bradford Pear trees in the back yard,
but they have given us such a wonderful showing this year.
Through storms, high winds and very cold weather
they have held on to give us all the beauty they had to give.
So here is one last shot before they turn green.

Day 95 of 2016

I am playing with some color combinations
as I prep for a little celebration tomorrow night.

Day 94 of 2016

It is early evening and we are still without power.
Now they are predicting all power will be restored by tomorrow midday.
We are hanging out at the local coffee shop, charging our phones and computers,
getting internet things done, and keeping warm.
I guess my last quilt for our quilt challenge will not be done.
It's pretty hard to run the big machine, or any machine for that matter, without electricity.

Day 93 of 2016

We had very strong winds today.
Our power has been out all evening
with an estimate of sometime tomorrow morning for it to be restored.
Unfortunately for us, we are under a freeze warning for the overnight.
Luckily, the down comforter is still on the bed.
The above picture is the result of our DeWalt worklight shining up
and illuminating the ceiling.
It really worked well to light up the whole room.
