Day 271 of 2018
I love that Fireball is willing to turn around and go back
when I see something I'd like to photograph.

Day 270 of 2018
I feel a change coming.
I think the birds feel it too.
The activity at the bird feeders today was nonstop.

Day 268 of 2018
102 seeds...or 104.
I don't really know. Every time I count I get a different number.
Either way, it is enough.

Day 266 of 2018
Today was one of those "in the moment" days.
GB#3 came to play and we had a wonderful time.
The weather was perfect.
I forgot to get my camera out.
But the reward for enjoying the afternoon, by really being there, was this sunset.

Day 265 of 2018
This was the first time using this tool.
The sweet potato "noodles" were easy and delicious.
I will be doing this often.

Day 264 of 2018
Happy Mail.
I took a Craftsy class on Portuguese knitting recently.
I really enjoy the method so I ordered a real pin (actually magnetic) to use
instead of the safety pin/paperclip version I rigged up.
I am so happy with this pretty little one.

Day 261 of 2018
One of Little E's Barbies,
shown here in an official Barbie apron from the 1960s
and a dress my mother made for my 1960s Barbie,
might just get some new clothes soon.
The three patterns are from the mid-1980s
(note the wedding dress just to the left of Barbie's head
is styled to resemble Princess Diana's gown)
and the 29 cent booklet has a 1964 copyright.
This should be fun.

Day 259 of 2018
I took the advice and finally got a Droll Yankees bird feeder
to go with my Wild Birds Unlimited one.
I have had no trouble with the squirrels since.

Day 256 of 2018
I have just installed the new quilt program I purchased last spring.
I hope there are lessons included.

Day 255 of 2018
As we say goodbye to Seattle and cruise above the clouds,
we finally get a glimpse of the mountain.
Look closely.
Disguised as a cloud, it is definitely "out" up here.

Day 254 of 2018
Nuflours Bakery, Seattle, Washington.
What a great find this is. Everything here is gluten free.
We had quiche for breakfast and bought a few goodies for later.

Day 249 of 2018
Before.
I almost forgot to take the picture. As you can see I already cut the sleeves off.
This will not become an "after" for a week or so,
but I was excited to get started.
Keep your eyes peeled.
Also, just as a heads up,
don't be alarmed if the next few posts are a few hours late.
I am traveling to a different time zone.

Day 248 of 2018
I was not expecting this.
I am thinking I may want my iPad tomorrow.
I opened it to add some music to it and it would not turn on.
I guess I didn't realize that even when you don't use it,
after weeks (months?) of not being charged, it will go dead.
Now I know.

Day 247 of 2018
So, I am on a deadline to make some new shirts for myself.
I thought I'd do the smart thing and make muslins of the patterns first
so I don't end up making shirts which don't fit well.
Today I thought I would be making the real shirts,
but I am still stuck on the fitting muslins with disappointing results.
After I decided no shirts would be attempted today,
I made something I know how to make and doesn't have to fit me to look nice.
Enter the quick zippered bag.
Done.

Day 244 of 2018
A while back I found a pair of Ninja Turtles pajama pants at a Goodwill store.
I knew they would be good for a remake project, so I bought them.
With GB#4's birthday coming up soon I came up with an idea.
Her dad (T-bone) was a huge Turtles fan as a child
so Turtles leggings for the birthday girl seemed like a good plan.
With the leftover fabric I fashioned little American Girl Doll leggings
for GB#4 and also for her sister GB#2, so she wouldn't feel left out.
We presented these gifts tonight
and GB#4 was amazed that she and her doll had matching leggings.
(She mentioned it more than once.)
This was definitely a plan that came together in the best way possible.
