I took pictures of two other subjects earlier in the day 

but then this gorgeous sky appeared before me 

in several different ways as I was out and about. 

It was mesmerizing at every stage.

we ended up with a pretty decent picture of the two of us.

We're getting organized for a yard sale tomorrow. 

Good thing we have a supervisor to keep us focused on the job.

Today is the first day of fall. 

To commemorate the autumnal equinox when my kids were growing up, 

we would stand the egg on end. 

It has been said only to work on the two equinoxes. 

I don't know if it is true or not, but it is always fun. 

Today I couldn't get the egg to stand, but you get the idea, right? 

Happy Fall for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere.

I found a new drawing on the chalkboard. 

I'm not sure who did the drawing, 

but I always appreciate a smiling face.

The garage project that sent us to the hardware store required a second trip, 

but we are very happy with the results. 

Our yard chairs are are all in one place, 

off the floor and we even have room for our picnic bags and blankets. 

Of course, holes will need to be filled and painting will eventually get done, 

but one small win is still a win.

This yarn bombing was sighted downtown.

One of our garage projects got stalled today due to a missing part. 

A late evening visit to Lowe's was in order

 and we were rewarded with a nearly empty parking lot 

and this beautiful sky.

We cleaned, cleaned out and organized more of the garage today. 

Most of today's work was concentrated in the workshop 

which is an extension off the back of the main garage area.

I'm setting myself up for success. 

I pressed, cut and pinned the fabric for more masks. 

I didn't have time to sew today so I set them on the machine, 

ready to go for the morning.

Fireball and I spent all day cleaning out in the garage. 

You would only know progress has been made if you are a family member. 

Pictures would certainly not tell the real story. 

We do always find interesting things we don't remember having,

 things we haven't seen in a while, 

and things we know we don't need anymore.

I'm making school masks for little ones. 

GB#4 had the good taste to pick dogwoods from Paducah for one of hers.

Today I'm planning a couple new builds. 

Since I took this photo, I think I've figured out dimensions 

so lumber shopping is on the to do list for tomorrow. 

And for those who are still wondering, 

I got no correct guesses as to what the new zipper bag is going to hold. 

So what is it?

It is a zipper bag for a cribbage board and pegs for T-bone. 

There is probably room inside to keep the deck of cards too if he wants.

and made a small road trip to an antique mall.

Today I am fixing all the broken things. 

Why, when I could just have easily tossed them in the trash? 

Because I can, and I like fixing things.

Today I brought out the play food and dishes for the girls. 

I also found the bag of play money. 

We had so much fun.

You know you're tired when you grab the wrong small blue flowered case

 to measure your knitting

 but continue trying to find the tab to pull out the measuring tape

 way too long before you realize 

you are holding your earbud case.

I finished my Sew Together Bag a couple days ago. 

I love the way it turned out. 

There is so much room inside. 

I keep thinking of different ways to use it, like a sewing kit, toiletry bag, 

holder for colored pens and pencils, and so much more. 

I guess I am destined to make more.
