 for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner and grouped them by recipe.

This promo lunch bag isn't very well made

 and the slider slid right off the end this morning. 

Having learned how to put a slider on the zipper tape with teeth 

in the making of my many Hemingway pouches lately, 

I thought I'd give it a go. 

After a few tries, I was able to get it back on. 

With that done, I stitched a lot of sloppy hand stitches across the end

 through the zipper tape and the end piece 

which was supposed to keep it on in the first place. 

That zipper slider isn't going anywhere now.

Fireball and I had a good time at the Christmas at the Zoo preview 

with Big D, R, and GB#3.

First wave of our first snow of the year hit this morning. 

The second wave will come this afternoon.

Now that the carpet is in, we're swapping some furniture from room to room. 

I found this date written on the underside of a table leaf that 

belongs to a table that belonged to Fireball's parents. 

He remembers it was a big deal when they got it.

I bought the cutest buttons for this little baby cardigan. 

Sleeves are still in progress.

Carpet installation is complete. 

Thank you, Bridget, for the reminder to reveal What is it? 

Yes, it was beef stew. 

I combined the ingredients of two different recipes I found on Pinterest,

 and after browning the meat and sautéing the onion and garlic, 

I cooked it in the Instant Pot. 

It was really good and it made an excellent meal, 

leftover lunch and another dinner. 

Unfortunately, I never got a picture of it.

GB#4 and GB#5 were very proud of the houses they built 

at the Children's Museum today.

I did my fix then finished the body portion tonight. 

I've tested the Icelandic bind off and like the look, 

so I will complete that tomorrow.

We're getting new carpet installed on Monday. 

My job is to get the room ready. 

I'm almost there.

I've encountered a small setback in my knitting. 

I've got the tool I need and will drop each column

 down to the offending row 

and pick it back up correctly, 

but we've started a movie 

so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

I'm not sure what the assignment was,

I've made progress in the last few days. 

I've slipped the sleeve stitches off the needles to save for later 

and have begun knitting the body of this tiny cardigan.

I needed to get out of the house today, 

so when Fireball got home

 we went to go see the pretty Christmas displays at Pottery Barn. 

On the way through the mall I spied this super chunky knit vest. 

Wouldn't it be fun to make up my own pattern and knit one for myself? 

I think the swatching to figure out the gauge 

would take longer than to knit the whole thing.

The tree in the front yard is frequently a bright spot in my day.

I'm making progress by knitting a little bit each day. 

Sometimes it's hard to find the time to just sit down and knit.

Something new is coming. 

The lights are on so Fireball and I were hoping to get a look inside 

but the grand opening isn't for a couple weeks.

Family-made (R, Big D, GB#3) macarons made in a class

 were generously gifted to us tonight. 

They are delicious. 

This might be a skill that needs to be pursued.
