My hands are very sensitive.

I have not been able to wear my wedding rings for a while without breaking out.

I got a new ring (sterling silver) to wear as a wedding band.

Little Lady and I worked on my bucket of 36-patch blocks today.

Two were completed.  Many more await completion.

But the hard part, cutting and pairing fabrics, is done.

The story of today goes like this:

Fireball brings home my favorite knitting magazine that he has found at the book store.

T-Bone and CJ come over for dinner and CJ notices the cute owl on the cover.

We begin to discuss "The Owl and the Pussycat" which no one seems to remember.

I find the book with the poem in it and read it to T-Bone, CJ and M.

Nope.  No one has heard it before.

I cannot figure out how I have failed as a mother.

This guy was sitting in this tree for a very long time.

I kept getting closer taking pictures all the while.

At first I thought he might be young and learning to fly,

but the closer I got I concluded that he got roughed up somehow

and was taking a much needed rest.

This is as close as I got with the 85mm lens before he flew off.

Grandbaby #2 (due in November) is a girl!

Yesterday's fabric purchase was used as table coverings

and will see a second life in a future quilting project.
