Day 212/354

I recently read an article about photographing ordinary objects.
While these aren't probably very ordinary to everyone,
they are quite ordinary to me.
I love my thread, my thread conditioner and my well-worn thimble.

Day 209/365

Do you see what I see?
No, I don't mean those flowers that never really got planted into those pots.
Let's take a closer look.
Yep, that's a bunny hiding behind those flower pots, feasting on the flowers.
Oh, and it looks like those flower pots have seen better days.
I guess it's time to start shopping the end-of-season sales for some new ones.

Day 208/365

It's finally binding time.
This quilt is in the home stretch.

Day 207/365

A lot of water.
A little amount of time.
More photos over at More Curiously.

Day 205/365

I have a couple EPP (English Paper Piecing) projects that sit unfinished.
There are some lovely new ideas floating around the internet for EPP projects.
I really like the idea of a portable handwork project so...
I have purchased a couple books to help me get started again.
Let's see if I can stick with it.

Day 202/365

Here's a little combination question today:
What is it and where am I?

Day 200/365

I rescued these flowers from the ground.
It appeared a squirrel had been digging in my flower pot and these broke off.
I put them in my tiny vase.
They have recovered nicely.

Day 199/365

The Saturday morning farmer's market is a colorful place.
Among a few other things, some of these lovelies may have come home with me.

Day 198/365

Today I knocked my magnetic pin bowl onto the floor.
The force of the magnet was no match for the force of the impact.

Day 197/365

Quilting is going very well.
All the orange fabrics will be quilted with lines, the teals with swirls.
I am loving the texture.

Day 196/365

(I apologize in advance for the grainy cell phone picture.  They do not allow my real camera at this venue.)

While James Taylor sang Sweet Baby James,
I looked to the left of the stage where the giant video screen is displayed
and noticed the gorgeous sky on this perfect night for an outdoor concert.

Day 195/365

We've been having a lot of storms and rainy weather lately,
and even though we'd like it to not rain for a while,
I enjoyed the remnants of our latest overnight storm on the kitchen window screen
this morning.

Day 193/365

Fireball helped me install a curtain rod with clips in the Big Room today.
This spot will serve as the on deck circle for the next quilt to be quilted.
The idea is that when I come in to work on the current quilt,
the next one will be hanging so I can form ideas about quilting designs.
If the quilt isn't too big, it will also make a great place to take my "before" picture.
This next one was made for GB#1 for her first birthday.
She's almost 3.
It's time to be brave and finish it.

Day 190/365

I received an order I placed earlier in the week in the mail today.
I am looking forward to a little light reading
so I can learn how to make a few cute little critters.

Day 189/365

I've been working on this room all day.
I might have, just maybe, found some papers and receipts under a chair dated 2009.
Don't judge.

Day 188/365

I finished another binding tonight.
This quilt is one that Little E made.
I blogged about it here and here.
I quilted and bound it for her.

It occurs to me that I need to have a little quilt roundup.
I'll try to get that put together.

Day 186/365

Tonight I am working on my little "Looks I Love" project.
Remember when we actually cut out the pictures we liked with scissors?
And, yes, I know the looks I love seem to always be on children.
They seem to know what's up - lovely colors and comfort.
I'm all for that.

Day 184/365

Another walk to the grocery store provides another great photo opportunity.

Day 182/365

M is knitting a hat.  She is also knitting a scarf.
The two items are being made out of the same color of the same yarn
in two different weights.
You guessed it.
She made almost the entire hat out of the wrong weight yarn.
It pays to read the label.
M is not a happy camper.
