As you know I am participating in the Urbanologie Quilt Along. 

I am still a little behind but decided to take a different approach this week.

Since making the fabric choices and cutting the pieces 

seem to be the things I struggle with the most and are the most time consuming, 

I have decided to do the rest of the cutting before I tackle more of the sewing.  

So I present to you the blocks I cut today:  

Feathers, Pineapples, Poppies, and Antlers (not shown.)

The crew next door opened a lemonade stand today for the second day in a row.  

With our current weather it was a welcome sight.

This is an American Dagger Moth caterpillar. 

He was visiting my front porch this evening. 

Evidently his "fur" is toxic 

and will cause stinging, itching and possibly a rash if touched. 

I did not know this at the time I took the picture. 

Luckily, I did not touch him. 

I wouldn't have anyway.

It's been a long day starting with a very short night 

and a trip to the airport before dawn. 

The good news is that CJ made it to her destination without incident.

I am behind a couple weeks due to my recent travels, 

but I am hoping to change that this week.

Tonight Fireball and I took GB#3 to Symphony on the Prairie.

and our basketball went rushing down the street.

M and I spent most of the day trying to get to the other side of Kansas. 

Most of Kansas looks like this. 

We saw cows and lots of modern wind turbines (aliens) 

and oil well pumps and cows and more aliens. 

But mostly we saw cows...lots of cows.
