This late bloomer is a transplant gift from a friend. 

I am pleasantly surprised that it is blooming this year 

so soon after the change of location.

So today I am answering the question I posed on Day 229, 

Where am I? 

I was and am again at Lucas Oil Stadium watching our Colts (preseason) play. 

Tonight both the window and the roof were open.

This is not a very frequent occurrence. 

It was a gorgeous night.

To start the next project tomorrow, 

I need to get the new fabrics washed today.

 and will combine with some from my stash.

Today I get to work on a gift for a sweet little girl 

out of the most beautiful fabrics.

I changed the dishes today...

to coordinate with my summer rug.

Day 230 of 2019

I started this quilt top on Wednesday and finished it today. 

I also did a whole lot of things in between. 

I think this is the fastest I've ever made a whole top.

I know the lighting is really bad.  

I'll try to get this one outside for a picture soon. 

Just a note - the background is all the same, 

similar to the diamond above the center.

Pattern is Moda Love.

Where am I?

Do you see what I did here? 

Yes, I sewed the incorrect sides together on two squares for a total of four blocks. 

And, yes, I had already cut them apart and was pressing when I noticed. 

Time to stop what I am doing and rip those little stitches out 

and sew again, right sides together. 

Fast forward to this evening.  

My little setback didn't set me back too much.  

I was able to get all the blocks sewn and actually got all the rows sewn. 

 If I can get the rows sewn to each other tomorrow, this top is done.

I have just recently been reacquainted with this project. 

If I were to take a guess, 

I would say I started stitching it over thirty years ago.

It is way past the window of usefulness for its intended recipient. 

So now the debate is going on in my head. 

Do I finish it and give it to someone else

 or give it to someone else to finish it and use it how they like?

Remember last Friday I stayed up really late to finish a book and a quilt top? 

Well, I was successful on both so it's time to work on another quilt top. 

I finished the cutting earlier today 

so tonight I am drawing lines on the backs of blocks

 for triangle making tomorrow.

I finished my Halloween blocks for an exchange next week 

but since I have posted pictures related to those blocks the last two days, 

I thought I'd post these cute little house blocks I also finished today.  

These are housewarming blocks for a quilt group member

 that I am very late in completing.  

The pattern was provided and the only requirement was

 that the door should contain something living. 

It feels good to get both items checked off my list.

I've made some Swiss cheese.

Muffins.

One half dozen plain with colored sugar.

One half dozen with chocolate chips. 

Tonight's choice was a plain one. 

I topped it with strawberries.

I believe I will be finishing this quilt top before I go to bed. 

It is almost midnight and I have almost three hours left on my current audiobook. 

It is due in the morning and there is an eight week wait for it 

if I have to put it on hold to get it back.  

I am determined to finish both the book and the quilt top before I sleep.

With less than an hour before the trip to the airport, 

GB#1 needed one more thing to occupy her time. 

We pulled out this really retro (old) game and a great time.

And now the house is very quiet.

Today with two GBs in the house, 

we did one Pinterest-saved arts and crafts project 

and have prepped another to be finished tomorrow.

They did such a great job.

GB#1 decided we needed to have a surprise party to celebrate Fireball. 

(It's not his birthday)

While he was gone for the day, we made all kinds of crafts, gifts and decorations. 

Every time I suggested that we should be done 

and move on to other activities on our to-do list, 

she said "no" we had more to do.  

It was awesome and well received.

She is such a thoughtful girl.
