Day 120 of 2022

The thing Fireball and I did 

was attend our last Broadway Indianapolis show of the season tonight. 

The show was Dear Evan Hansen. 

The fabric clue from yesterday was made into our masks

 based on the shirt Evan is wearing in the show poster. 

The pillowcase on the left has nothing to do with this, 

but since I was at the sewing machine today 

I took the opportunity to make this gift while I had time. 

The machine sounded a bit rattle-y 

so I also took the time to clean out the bobbin area 

and give it a good oiling. 

She sounds so much better now.

Fireball and I are doing something tomorrow. 

This fabric is a clue.

My new address stamp (address hidden here) 

makes note writing a bit more fun. 

I hope the recipients enjoy the whimsy.

Hi, it's me. 

I went to an event tonight and unfortunately forgot to get a photo

 of the beautiful and delicious doughnut and wine pairings. 

I did however take a photo of myself. 

In November I started a hair journey to create a healthier head of hair 

and to embrace my curly, wavy hair. 

I understand that it can take a long time to repair damaged hair 

and see what the natural state of things really is. 

So I take occasional pictures to compare as I go. 

It will never be perfect, 

but it is definitely improving.

I have not felt well today. 

I slept for and unusual portion of it 

and was not able to eat until late this evening. 

I am trying to stay hydrated. 

Tomorrow will be a better day.

One of these gentlemen is having his 92nd birthday next week. 

We pulled off a successful surprise gathering with lots of family. 

Here is a four generation picture of the birthday boy with his son,

I didn't take any exciting pictures today

 but I really liked the glow from my washing machine. 

It's the simple things.

Tonight I went to a new-to-me Mexican restaurant. 

After the chips were brought to the table, 

I noticed that there was no salt shaker available, 

so I asked for some salt. 

I was not expecting this, but hey, it works.

It's very tall. 

It's a very, very, scary tall wall. 

I scaled the ladder to wash the wall. 

I used the mop to reach it all. 

But who will paint this quite tall wall?

Sometimes I save my magazines to read later for relaxing. 

Sometimes that time comes days or even weeks later. 

I took the time to look through this one tonight and really enjoyed it. 

There are several things I'd love to DIY when I have the time.

 which included some origami that she thought I'd like.

A couple days ago, before the last minute trip out of town, 

I received some happy mail. 

I thought this pattern was so cute 

and can see many opportunities for using these letters. 

I also love that there was a preorder option of a spiral bound copy.

On Monday Fireball and I made the last minute decision

 to go out of town a couple days earlier than we had originally planned. 

In the flurry of gathering things for an overnight stay, 

I forgot to pack my computer. 

No computer, no blog post. 

I will now try to catch up with the pictures I took on the missing days.

Yesterday I picked up a new-to-me machine, 

so today I am reading the instruction manual, of course.

A lullaby plays as the animals that are projected on the ceiling float by. 

I found it quite calming.

I got a surprising letter today. 

Fifty years. 

I'm not sure how that happened. 

I guess I might consider going. 

We'll see.

Any day now we will have blooms on the Bradford Pear.

Fireball cut his finger this morning. 

Tonight it was still not staying together. 

He refuses to go see about stitches so I insisted on butterfly bandages. 

Two butterflies and a waterproof bandage later, I think he is set. 

I have asked him to not bend his knuckle. 

I told him he could call me Florence.

I'm doing late night laundry to get a jump on tomorrow. 

While I'm at it I am enjoying the upgrade in aesthetics

 with my huge glass jar that replaces the box that my detergent comes in.

We headed downtown for a show.
