Curiously Intertwined

I've got a little Halloween on my mind.

I'm back at the Old House today.

From just part of the garage, this recycling bin is full.

It is filled with every sort of plastic and glass container

saved from food, juice, milk and all other items sold in these containers.

I'm sure I will fill it again and again

as I move through the rest of the garage and the basement.

It is very apparent that Great Grandpa H

and Grandma Boo were Depression Era kids.

I'm pretty sure I post a version of this picture every year,

but the way the light shines through those new spring ginkgo leaves

gets me every time.

I'm thinking of Great Grandpa H today as it would have been his 93rd birthday.

We celebrated with his favorite meal and ice cream.

This bunny sits in the front garden near the walk at the Old House.

I think he may have to come live in our garden.

Sometimes if you're lucky and you time it just right,

you get a perfect avocado.

After working on the Old House today,

Fireball and I had some dinner downtown.

I found quilt a design in the wild.

I may get out the graph paper for this one.

I stopped at a thrift shop and bought a couple of things.

It seems I am drawn to green and puffed sleeves today.
