Day 36 of 2020

Hi, it's me.
Today, I'm keeping it really real.

(If you get squeamish, I suggest you skip the words below.)

I've been having trouble with my vision for a little while.
Fireball insisted I go see my retina specialist
earlier than my annual appointment to find out what's going on.
To spare you the details, many of which I don't remember anyway,
I'll skip to the end of the appointment
which involves me getting a shot in my eye.
I knew this was a possibility but wasn't fully prepared for it.
I took the photo before I left the building
 - both eyes still dilated and the left one beginning to turn red.
I think I was in shock when I took the lovely picture.

  1. Oh Sharon, you are not alone. I don't know how my DH does it, but in order to keep his sight, he has injections every 6 weeks in both eyes. Many years ago, he was a participant in a drug trial, and that drug saved his sight.

  2. I hope the shot in the eye has had the desired effect. It seems scary to have that done but it seems to be a relatively common and straight forward procedure these days.
