Hi, it's me.
Today, I'm keeping it really real.
(If you get squeamish, I suggest you skip the words below.)
I've been having trouble with my vision for a little while.
Fireball insisted I go see my retina specialist
earlier than my annual appointment to find out what's going on.
To spare you the details, many of which I don't remember anyway,
I'll skip to the end of the appointment
which involves me getting a shot in my eye.
I knew this was a possibility but wasn't fully prepared for it.
I took the photo before I left the building
- both eyes still dilated and the left one beginning to turn red.
I think I was in shock when I took the lovely picture.
Oh Sharon, you are not alone. I don't know how my DH does it, but in order to keep his sight, he has injections every 6 weeks in both eyes. Many years ago, he was a participant in a drug trial, and that drug saved his sight.
ReplyDeleteI hope the shot in the eye has had the desired effect. It seems scary to have that done but it seems to be a relatively common and straight forward procedure these days.
