So I guess spring really is on the way.

Day 58 of 2021
I have been collecting old hankies for a while
and have a small, growing collection.
I found this one today and loved the colors and sweet design
so it came home with me.

Day 57 of 2021
I love this style of camera strap.
I have one on my other camera that is black.
I found the teal and lime one and thought it would be nice to have some color
and to have the ability to differentiate the two cameras at a glance.

Day 56 of 2021
Thursday's Puzzle.
I started it as GB#3 started school for the day
and finished it shortly after school was dismissed.
500 pieces.

Day 55 of 2021
The ends are all woven in on the shawl,
so tonight I started on the cute crochet I've been wanting to try.
It's fast and I'm liking it so far.

Day 54 of 2021
This shawl is getting a bind off today.
431 stitches takes a very long time
especially when it's a stretchy bind off with the extra wrap on each stitch.
Ends will probably get sewn in tomorrow.
I miscalculated the gauge but refuse to tear it out.
I'm hoping that blocking will help a little with the size,
but I figured that a large scarf was better than an unfinished shawl.

Day 51 of 2021
We have many icicles hanging from our house but I've been watching these all day.
Now in the late day light it looks like some kind of melting metal.

Day 49 of 2021
The latest puzzle got finished last Friday but I left it out until today
so GB#3 could see it.
I then started to put it back in the box,
and it was at this point that I remembered I hadn't taken a picture yet.
So the partial puzzle picture will have to do.

Day 48 of 2021
As I was prepping dinner today I was taken by the colors in the pan.
I think I need to make an onion and celery colored quilt.

Day 47 of 2021
I took a few pictures to show how much snow we got yesterday,
but then Fireball and I shoveled the driveway
and the sun came out and the sky was this beautiful blue.
You know I couldn't pass up the chance to document it.
I hope you enjoy the wintery view.

Day 46 of 2021
We are expecting two waves of snow today
with an expected total of up to a foot of snow,
and the second one has just begun.
Because the temperature is bitterly cold,
the wiper blades have iced up in the less than two miles we've been on the road.
Luckily, our house is just past that small hill ahead.
It's time to get home and stay home.

Day 45 of 2021
Happy Valentine's Day.
I didn't want to get rid of my grocery header on the chalkboard entirely
so I did a little refresh with hearts and flowers for you.

Day 42 of 2021
I got to sit in this chair today.
I made a phone call yesterday with a question about some trouble I was having
trying to sign up online for an appointment at a new vaccine location
that is just opening up.
I got my answer but then was asked if Fireball and I wanted to participate
in a "soft opening" of the location.
They would be taking appointments for only ten people
the day before the actual appointments start tomorrow.
This was to help them go through the process and get any kinks out.
We jumped at the chance.
There was no line, the process went fairly quickly and then I got to sit in the chair.
The second dose appointment is even on the calendar.

Day 41 of 2021
This little tunic is off in the mail today for GB#5.
It is designed to grow with the little one,
beginning as a dress and changing into a top as she grows.
The neck and sleeves can be adjusted as she needs.
Hopefully it will arrive before Valentine's Day.

Day 39 of 2021
It's been about seven weeks since I showed you a tool of the trade and
asked you the question Where am I?
I'm back today seeing my retinal specialist
and can reveal that I was and am at the eye doctor's office.

Day 38 of 2021
I'm still working on my second sock.
Tonight it is while I watch the big game.
These are toe-up socks.
Why does it feel like the leg takes forever?
And after I finish this leg, if you remember,
I have to tear out the original leg on sock number one
and reknit it to match sock number two.

Day 36 of 2021
Little E showed me a project she made a while ago.
I finally have my supplies ready
and I can't wait to make one so I can show you how cute it is.

Day 35 of 2021
It's Thursday so, you guessed it, I've started another puzzle.
This is the third of the choice of three I gave you a couple weeks ago.
This one will take a bit longer, but I'm up for the challenge.

Day 33 of 2021
I'm working on a few freshening up projects in the kitchen.
One involves getting a bit more light in the one small window
while still having the capability of blocking the direct sun
when sunset coincides with dinner making.
To do this I've replaced the Roman shade,
which covered about five inches of the window when pulled all the way up,
with some side panels.
I've also patched a bit of wall above the window that can't be seen
but was a source of annoyance.
Once I paint it, I will finish accessorizing that shelf.

Day 32 of 2021
When I entered the Vaccine Waiting Room
my wait to make an appointment was just under 45 minutes.
I worked my way down to a 15 minute wait when suddenly
the next update gave me a shocking number.
According to my calculations,
my wait would now be just over 82 hours or just under 3 1/2 days.
Luckily after a few more minutes counting down,
it returned to a reasonable time of 26 minutes
and I was able to get an appointment for vaccination in late March.
