I swatched my two patterns today and have decided to do a combination of the two.
Both are on this same piece with three rows of stockinette stitch between them.
I know it's hard to tell.
I will try using a needle somewhere between these two sizes,
work the top pattern with the cables but add twenty-four more stitches
so I can get one more pattern repeat and create a slightly denser fabric.
